Designed for beginners, this workshop allows you to develop better coordination and a stronger core while releasing any tension you have built up in your body throughout your day at work. Through progressive exercises focusing on body alignment, weight transfer, release technique and floor work, you will also gain better awareness of your senses. Learn the basics of contemporary dance in a safe environment at a comfortable pace.
This course is perfect for anyone who wishes to gain a better understanding of contemporary dance and to simply find freedom and joy in movement, while building some strength and flexibility.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Sigma Contemporary Dance is an independent dance collective that was formed sharing the belief never to stop dancing, exploring and creating. Known for pushing boundaries and creating works that connect and engage well with the audience, as well as inspiring many non-dancers to pick up dance and fall in love with contemporary dance, Sigma hopes to share the wonders of contemporary dance with you.
ABOUT THE COURSE:
1.5h per session
No prior dance background is required
Comfortable attire which you can move comfortably in, cotton socks that are not too slippery, water bottle to stay hydrated, towel.
